★★★★★ ★★★★★ 5 out of 5 stars.· 7 months agoViper HD 12x50
I chose these binoculars in particular for a trip I had planned all over the country of Peru. From the high peak of Machu Picchu to the low lands of the Amazon rainforest and everything in between. I was very, very impressed and so were my guides who ended up using my binoculars instead of theirs while trying to locate native animals for us in the thick, dense jungles. I will forever use Vortex optics for all my hunting, shooting and spotting needs and will highly recommend them to everyone I meet.- # Product Likes:

★★★★★ ★★★★★ 5 out of 5 stars.· 3 days agoSo Clear
These are a joy to look through. I've had other lower priced/ lower quality binos that made my eyes hurt and gave me a head ache after looking through them for ten or fifteen minutes. With the Viper HD binos, I can look through these for hours and not have any eye strain or a headache. They are pricy, but are worth every penny.- Wish

★★★★★ ★★★★★ 5 out of 5 stars.· 9 months agoCustomer for life
I've had these 12x50 Vortex binoculars for seveal years and typically use them as my "neck" glass. When I'm hunting or scouting, they're on my chest. When I'm driving, they're in my truck- never leave them behind. I live in AZ where a quality optic is an absolute must. I hunt elk, coues deer, mule deer, and bear, all in thick/nasty terrain that require quality glass in less than ideal hunting conditions. A couple years back, I had my binos on my tripod and stepped away to use the facilities, came back and the wind had knocked my tripod over, shattered one of the lenses, and messed up the bodies. Needless to say, I wasn't worried. I sent them to Vortex and they had a pair to my door step in 3 days. Can't beat them.- ✔ Yes,

★★★★★ ★★★★★ 5 out of 5 stars.· 9 months agoMy experience lead to others' purchase
Purchased a Viper HD 12x50 for my infrequent and modest hunts. I was so satisfied with the quality and value of these binoculars, I encouraged my son (who needed to replace his rifle scope before we our one-time mule deer hunt on the open prairies of Montana) that Vortex was the only way to go. He did and we both tagged-out. The only problem was that was the the first day of a week-long hunt, so we went home early. He had been saving for a spotting scope and now is the proud owner of Viper HD 20-60x80.- ✔ Yes,

★★★★★ ★★★★★ 5 out of 5 stars.· 4 months agoAnother solid product from Vortex
It all started with the Viper PST I bought used from a good friend. It then turned into a Venom RDS, then Viper RDS, then a Crossfire II. I had always wanted a solid set of binos but was afraid to pull the trigger. I ended up picking up some Viper HD 12x50's even though I heard they might be a little more unstable while holding. These setup great. Clarity is awesome. Really happy. I also decided that if im going to pick up a higher end of binos, to sink my teeth into a decent spotting scope. Of which I decided on the diamondback. Super happy with all my Vortex optics. Still waiting for a zoom lever for my Crossfire II though! Gives me piece of mind to know that if anything happens the VIP warranty is there.- # Product Likes:

★★★★★ ★★★★★ 5 out of 5 stars.· 5 days agoTough amazing glass
I've owned this binocular for 3 years now and I'm not sure how I ever lived without them. I owned the diamondback 12x50 before the viper HD 12x50 and I had no idea what my eyes were missing out on. I don't guide hunters but diy hunt in the west so my glass is important all summer and fall. They are tested constantly on ruggedness. I also use them to watch cows calve and I can see their tag numbers the glass is so clear. For the price you are getting some amazing glass and an amazing warranty. I use them on and off the tripod as well.- Wish

★★★★★ ★★★★★ 5 out of 5 stars.· 9 months agoLove my viper hd
Over the years I have had dozens of binoculars. I kept hearing good things about vortex, so I decided to bite the bullet and buy some viper hd's. I can say during hunting season I was able to see more deer hiding in the brush, not only could I see them I could actually tell how many points they were before anyone took a shot. I love my bino's now. I push the product even when other hunters happen by, they can't believe how great they are. Great product and hope to get your rifle scopes on all my rifles soon. Thanks to the vortex team.- ✔ Yes,

★★★★★ ★★★★★ 5 out of 5 stars.· 9 months agoPerfect glass
I had the diamondback and upgraded to the viper HD's. What a jump at first I didn't notice the difference but after glassing for hours on end the difference is noticeable. The eye fatigue was noticeably less then with the diamondback. Great glass great warranty and a great price- ✔ Yes,

· 11 months agoProduction of the Viper HD binoculars was moved from Japan to China at the end of 2016. The binoculars are still being produced to our stringent specifications and carry our VIP Warranty. The move allowed us to increase production and lower the cost of the binoculars, which we passed along to the customer.0 people found this answer helpful. 0 people did not find this answer helpful.-

· a year agoBologna! These are made in CHINA according to my eyeballs and reading comprehension! When to look at the 12x50 Viper HDs with $659.00 burning its way though my wallet at my local Sportsman's Warehouse. Then looked at the bottom only to find MADE IN CHINA... no deal. Walked out. Guess I will keep looking.0 people found this answer helpful. 0 people did not find this answer helpful.-

· 2 years agoi am looking at the Vortex Viper Hd 12x50 and the Viper hd 10x50. what are the differences?-
Reuben
· 2 years agoThe only difference there is that the 10x50 will magnify your image 10x times and the 12x50 will magnify the image 12x times. In general, 12x is a littler harder to hold still if you are using it handheld rather than on a tripod, but can be used to see things that are farther away. 10x is a better choice for someone who is using the binoculars handheld primarily, because 10x is easier to hold still. A lot of this depends on personal preference and the best way to determine in our opinion is to go into one of our dealers and try these two configurations our side by side. Hope this helps!2 people found this answer helpful. 0 people did not find this answer helpful.-
